When you visit Dr. Butterman for a dental implant consultation he will check your gums to make sure they are healthy and also take a 3D scan of your mouth to ensure that you have enough bone in your jaw to support a single or multiple dental implants. Unfortunately some people, such as heavy smokers, may not be a good candidate for dental implants. If that is the case, Dr. Butterman will suggest other options.
