Dr. Oscar Ramirez is Board Certified in Plastic Surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He was a Fulbright high school scholar in Lima Peru. He graduated as a Physician and Surgeon from “The Major National University of San Marcos” in Lima-Peru, officially considered the oldest University in the Americas. He trained in General Surgery at Franklin Square Hospital, an affiliate of The Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland then completed his Plastic Surgery Residency at the University of Pittsburgh.

He did additional fellowship training in Craniofacial Surgery with world-renown Fernando Ortiz-Monasterio in Mexico City. He held academic appointments as a Clinical Instructor in Anatomy at the University of San Marcos, as a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Johns Hopkins University (for 25 years) and The University of Maryland (25 years) and is an Adjunct Clinical Professor at the Cleveland Clinic, Florida. He has been Traveling Professor of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery. He was also appointed Commander Consultant to the US Navy in 1995.
