Padmanabhan Nair, Ph.D., FAAAS was born in Singapore. He acquired B. Sc. (1946) degree from Travancore University, India. He acquired his M.Sc. (1954) and Ph.D. (1956) from Royal Institute of Science, India. He worked as Research Officer (1958-1960) at All-India Institute of Medical Sciences, India. He was a Fulbright Scholar and McCollum-Pratt Fellow (1960-19963) at The Johns Hopkins University, Maryland. He was Head of Medical Research (1963- 1983) at Sinai Hospital of Baltimore and was also a Research Scientist (1983-1998) Fellow at American Association for the Advancement of Science, Beltsville Human Nutrition Research Center, ARS, USDA, Beltsville, Maryland. He was Founding President and CEO (2000) at NonInvasive Technologies LLC, Maryland. He is an Adjunct Professor of International Health, Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health, Maryland. He was declared Roll of Honor at Institute of Science, India by the Hon. V. V. Giri (President of India).
