In addition to consulting for Oral Pathology Associates, Dr. Parish P. Sedghizadeh is a full-time Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Southern California (USC), Ostrow School of Dentistry, and Director of the USC Center for Biofilms. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology from UCLA and his DDS from USC. After his doctorate, he pursued specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at Ohio State University, where he also attained a Master of Science degree in oral biology, fellowship in the Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and subsequently board certification. Dr. Sedghizadeh conducts research, publishes, consults and teaches oral and maxillofacial pathology, radiology and medicine with an active clinical practice. Dr. Sedghizadeh has over 80 peer-reviewed publications, and his research laboratory, clinical practice and clinical research projects at USC currently focus on the characterization and treatment of head and neck pathology and microbial biofilm infections, particularly jaw osteomyelitis and osteonecrosis where he has developed novel bone-targeted antimicrobial therapeutics.
