Dr. Archer completed his Otolaryngology residency at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics and is a founding member and Professor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine since 1988 with an active interest in clinical research and medical student and resident education. Since 1998, he has been selected as one of the 100 Best Doctors in his specialty. His main areas of interest and expertise includes care of the professional voice, management of acute and chronic nasal and sinus problems, and otolaryngic allergy. He is the Medical Director of the UK Voice and Swallowing Clinic & the Otolaryngology Allergy Clinic. Dr. Archer is very active in academic medicine and is a Fellow of the ARS, AAO-HNS & AAOA. He is the current chair of the Rhinology & Paranasal Sinus Committee of the AAO-HNS. He currently serves on the editorial board of several Otolaryngology publications and several other committees for the ARS & AAO-HNS and on its Board of Governors and on the Board of Directors for several non-profit community organizations.
